A whole-person and patient-centred approach to care

Supporting women through menstruation to motherhood to menopause and more!

What is an Osteopath?

Osteopathy is a whole-person approach to healthcare utilising a variety of hands-on techniques and patient-centred take home management and exercise rehabilitation to assist you in self-managing your condition and recovery. Osteopaths focus on finding the cause of the problem, not just the symptoms. Osteopaths treat all tissues of the body including muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments, organs, and fascia to support the body’s self-healing capacity to put it on the right path to recovery by releasing strains and tension, improving mobility and function.

All osteopaths treat differently, I utilise a range of hands-on techniques ranging from gentle and subtle release and movement to bigger movements and adjustments. The treatment techniques selected are based on the need of the individual. I am trained in techniques including soft tissue and myofascial release, joint mobilisation, and manipulation, trigger-point release, dry needling, counterstrain, visceral manipulation and internal pelvic health release for pregnant and non-pregnant people.

I am passionate about offering a safe space for you to prioritise and improve your health. I practice in a whole-person, patient-centred, non-weight centric and inclusive approach to healthcare. My priority is supporting women and people through menstruation to motherhood to menopause and more!

My goal is to help you on your path to recovery through tailored hands-on treatment, encouraging health-promoting behaviours, open collaborative communication, education, and empowerment.

I am further trained in women’s and pelvic health and have a particular interest in supporting people through pregnancy, postpartum, pelvic pain and pelvic floor conditions, and breast care including mastitis, post-breast surgery care and during/after breast cancer care. I am passionate about working in this space due to the common narrative of pain dismissal, delayed diagnosis, and poorer standards of care for these conditions.

My priority is creating a trauma-informed, evidence-based, and equitable environment for positive outcomes and bridging gaps in women’s and pelvic healthcare.
